I failed a class, can I still join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.?

Its been a dream of mine to become an AKA for a long time. When I came to college, I had a lil trouble and I failed a class at the start of my sophomore year, but my GPA was still over a 2.5 and I was very involved in my campus community *and I still am*. It has been a year and a half now since then and I just finished up my junior year with a 2.9 GPA, which I know will be over a 3.0 by the time my school has their next Rush. Is it possible that my application might be rejected because of the bad grade I got over a year and a half ago? I know all the membership intake requirements, but I just want to have an idea of what to expect so I don't get my hopes up too high.
