I feel torn between my mom and aunt?

I am being inducted into Phi Theta Kappa a national honor society which is a huge accomplishment for me as a single mom of three kids. My problem is that my mother is a harsh person who just can't seem to keep her comments to herself and I obviously want her there at the ceremony but I also want my aunt ( my mothers younger sister) and her husband there because of all the support they have given me. But just mentioning that I would like to invite them infuriated my mother. I just want to be able to share my accomplishment with all of them but I am afraid my mother may make her rude comments and make me feel horrible.
