I am interested in joining the graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha.?

I have done all my research as far as what chapter i want to join, the history of the sorority and going to that chapter's events. Right now i just need a sponsor, is there a particular way or format to introduce myself to a AKA member to get the conversation started? and Is there anything else i need to know or do? Thanks in advance!
