What wires should i use for my jl amp 1000v2 and a Infinity kappa 4 channel amp?

I was wondering if i put four gauge wires with a distribution block to split it to get power to the jl amp and d infinity kappa amp. would it cause me to run inefficiently or would it loose power that way? should i run a 0 guage then split it with a distribution block so no power loss if any?
