Is it worth the money to join an academic honor society?

I would talk with the Human Resource (HR) office at a few of the companies similar to those you may someday apply to. Ask them if there is an advantage to joining an honor society, and if so which one they recommend. There is a huge difference between people who call themselves intellectuals and people who are actually intelligent. You sound like the latter, try not to get mix up with the former.
